Think "comfort" when choosing what to wear to class. Pick soft, stretchy clothes that you can move in comfortably.
Please minimize your use of fragrance (perfumes, etc.) in consideration of your classmates...but be prepared to sweat. Sometimes A LOT.
No need to purchase special "yoga socks", or other specialty footwear--especially for your first class. We typically practice yoga in our bare feet, and encourage you to give it a try, too!
Grab your mat, a hand towel, and a water bottle and head to the studio.
We know that coming to a new place can be intimidating! Set yourself up for a stress-free first class by arriving at least 15 minutes early. This will give you plenty of time to park; check in; stash your stuff in an in-studio cubby; and go over any questions you may have for the instructor.
In regards to parking--there are plenty of free parking spots available for use on the street in front of the studio, and in the surrounding neighborhood. We do ask that you DO NOT park in the lot behind the studio that is marked as reserved for the apartments next door--THEY TOW.
You may now enter the studio through either entrance--front and rear. Please remove your shoes before walking through the studio space.
Self-care is important after yoga. Drink water. Rest when you need to. Know that being a little sore the next day is normal, as yoga tends to work muscles differently than other types of activity--but know that pain is NOT normal, and may indicate injury.
Your after-class experience is just as important to us as your in-class experience. We encourage students to contact the studio via phone; email; or social media channels with any questions or concerns they may have.
